Portinatx : Holiday Accommodation
The highlight of Portinatx has to be the beach, used as the setting for the film South Pacific and as soon as you get here you will understand why. Exceptional golden sands line the coastline and lead you into the balmy Mediterranean waters, and with waters like this you should not miss out on one of the glass bottom boat trips, it's a fascinating way to see what treasures are hidden below the water. There's plenty to keep you occupied away from the beach, the main resort is compact but has numerous shops, bars and restaurants to choose from, and you will find a great selection of food on offer in the small supermarkets. Whilst here you must sample the local Spanish cuisine especially the catch of the day on offer in many of the restaurants. Don't miss out on the hippy market on a Sunday - bargains are just waiting to be found with a selection of leather, jewellery and pottery on offer. Away from the shops if you fancy a change from the beach there is always the water park to check out. You'll also find a number of pleasant walking routes so don't forget your hiking boots. Sleepy Portinatx wakes up at night, the night-life is surprisingly buzzing, with bars playing music and hosting a variety of entertainment.
