The heart of the town is the atmospheric quayside lined with good fish restaurants, and elsewhere, you'll find old forts, mansions, museums and palm-lined squares. There are plenty of shops to explore and browse around, and at dusk, you've planty of chances to witness the wonderful sunsets over the harbour as well as check out the good nightspots. On the 23 June each year, the town stages a colourful horseback parade.
