Blessed with the longest natural beach in Tenerife, El Medano which translates as ‘the sand dune’ is a mecca for sun and beach worshippers. If you want to pick up the pace, El Medano has some great attractions nearby, too. Explore the two nature reserves - Montana Roja and Montana Pelada - both are within distance. These volcanoes make for a dramatic backdrop to El Medano. Visit Eagle Park in Los Cristianos where birds of prey swoop perilously close above heads.
