Beaches
The Dominican Republic offers a host of glittering white sandy beaches that meet spectacular blue seas. The island boasts some 1,566km of coastline, 35% of which is beaches. Playa Grande near Cabrera has, in fact, been voted one of the top 10 beaches in the world - which isn't surprising when you sample its long stretch of white sand, clear turquoise waters and the spectacular cliffs at each side. Watersports are popular throughout the Dominican Republic - almost anything you can think of is on offer.
Dudu Lagoon and Blue Lagoon (Cabrera)
Near Cabrera you'll find these freshwater lagoons, which offer the visitor fantastically clear, shimmering blue freshwater pools. You can jump into either one of them for a refreshing swim.
