"Avis" means Avis Rent a Car System, Inc., its affiliates and licensees.
"Customer" means the individual whose details are set out in the "Renter´s Name" box above.
“Issuer” means the person who issues this voucher to the Customer.

1. VOUCHER
THIS VOUCHER DOES NOT CONSITITUTE A RESERVATION but is simply a record of the Customer´s application for vehicle rental services.

2. TERMS OF RENTAL
When the Customer presents this voucher to obtain and/or pay for vehicle rental services offered by Avis he will be required to enter into a separate rental agreement with Avis. The agreement will govern the Customer´s rights and responsibilities in relation to the vehicle rented. If the Customer has any queries or problems, he will need to take them up with the Avis company he rents from in the country in which the rental takes place or with the Avis company in his country of residence. This voucher does not constitute a contract between the Customer and the Issuer for the Issuer to provide vehicle rental services. Avis may refuse to rent to persons (a) under the applicable minimum age, (b) not in possession of a valid recognised driver´s licence, (c) who in Avis´ opinion constitute an unreasonable risk or (d) unable to satisfy standard credit or cash qualification requirements applied by Avis from time to time.

3. CHARGES
3.1 Where the word "nil" (or any similar expression) appears in the "Voucher Amount" field above, this voucher has no financial value whatsoever and cannot be used in any circumstances in payment or part payment for services provided by Avis.
3.2 Where a fixed amount or a specified number of rental days and car groups appears in the "Voucher Amount" field above this voucher represents payment for vehicle rental services up to that fixed amount or for the amount due in respect of the number of rental days and car group specified and indicates to Avis that such amount has been received by the Issuer. The Customer shall be liable to pay Avis for all charges incurred in excess of such amount i.e. any rental services originating against this voucher for any reason (including any extension of the rental length specified above). If Customer requests different vehicle rental services to those specified above Avis reserves the right to charge an administration fee for making this change.
3.2 Where the words "full value" (or any similar expression) appear in the "Voucher Amount" field above (a) this voucher represents payment for vehicle rental services originating against this voucher and (b) the Issuer acknowledges and agrees that it will be responsible for and shall indemnify Avis against all charges for such vehicle rental services (including any charges incurred as a result of an extension of the rental length specified above) and any costs, claims or expenses arising from the supply or use of this voucher (whether authorised or unauthorised) and (c) the Issuer agrees that by issuing this voucher to the Customer, that Customer shall be deemed to be authorised by the Issuer to rent a vehicle from Avis.

4. RESPONSIBILITY FOR LOSS, THEFT, ETC OF VOUCHER
Avis shall not be liable to the Issuer and/or the Customer for any loss, damage, liability or delay resulting from (a) the loss or theft of this voucher prior to its presentation to Avis for rental services or (b) this voucher being honoured on presentation by an individual other than the Customer.

5. VALIDITY AND REFUND
This voucher is valid for twelve months from the date of issue. If Avis should cancel this voucher where it is unable or, in its discretion has declined, to provide services to the Customer, or if it is unused within twelve months, upon request of the Customer a refund or any unused portion shall be made to the Customer by the Issuer.

6. RENTAL PERIOD
Rental for a period of more than 30 days is not authorised by means of this voucher.

7. RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN ISSUER AND AVIS
7.1 The relationship of Avis and the Issuer is that of independent contractors and the Issuer has no authority to accept any contract or order on behalf of Avis or otherwise bind Avis.
7.2 The Issuer agrees to indemnify Avis from and against all loss, damage or liability and any costs, claims or expenses in connection therewith arising from (a) any negligent act or omission by the Issuer or any employee or agent of the Issuer in respect of the supply or use of this voucher or (b) the loss or theft of this voucher from the Issuer or (c) unauthorised use of this voucher by the Issuer or any other person.
7.3 Acceptance of this voucher in blank by the Issuer shall be deemed consent to and acceptance by the Issuer of these terms and conditions.
