fares, taxes & charges - fees for scheduled flights

Please see below details of fees you may come across during your scheduled flight booking:

• Infants (under 2)
• £15 / €22,50 per infant sector
• Includes 10kg hold / checked-in baggage allowance subject to payment of hold / checked-in baggage charges.

• Extra legroom seat
• between £9.99 (€11,99) & £24.99 (€30,99) per person, per sector. Price varies according to route.
• Book online or via our call centre 

• Standard pre-allocated seat
• £5.99 per person, per sector. Book online or via our call centre

• Name changes
• £100 / €125.00 per name, per booking at monarch.co.uk or £120 /  €150.00  via call centre. Fees may be subject to alteration without notice.

• Vantage Gold Members are entitled to two free name changes, plus any difference in fare (via the call centre only.)

• Flight date/time change (save over 30% by changing online!)
• £27.50 / €34,00 per person, per one way flight at monarch.co.uk or £40 / €50,00 via call centre. Plus any fare difference between the original fare purchased and the fare at the time of making the change (if higher). Click here for our handy guide to changing a flight date/time online.

• Booking fees
• Pay by debit card to avoid paying a booking fee.
• Credit card payments will incur a fee of 4% or £5.00 per booking (whichever is greater), regardless of the number of passengers on the booking.
• You can also pay for your booking using PayPal. There is currently no booking fee when paying for your booking using PayPal.

• Airport lounges
• Available at London Gatwick, London Luton, Manchester & Birmingham airports 
• £19.00 / €24.00 per person
• Check lounge opening times and restrictions before booking 

• Champagne

• Hold bag fees
• Hold (checked in) bags. Price per bag, per one way flight.
• Online (monarch.co.uk)  = £15.99 / €19.99 or £18.99 / €23.99. Price varies by route.
• Call centre = £25.00 / €31,00
• At the airport = £25.00/ €31,00
• Total hold baggage allowance = 20kg per person (plus 10kg for any infants)

Important: Any hand baggage found to exceed weight and size restrictions at the gate will be placed in the hold and a £50.00 / €62,00 penalty charge will be levied.

 Excess baggage

• ZB - When booked online - first 3 kilos for £10.00/ €12,00. Thereafter £7.50/€9,00 per kilo.
• ZB - When booked via the Contact Centre or paid for at the Airport - £10.00/€12,00 per kilo.
• Longhaul flights - £12 / €15 or agreed equivalent in local currency per kg
• Flights from USA/Dominican Republic/Maldives - $20 (USD) per kg
• Note - Longhaul includes Egypt, Kenya, Banjul and Israel
• Excess baggage is accepted subject to hold space and operational capacity.

• Golf Clubs
• (including bag) up to 20kg.
• Pre-book and pay £19.99 / €24,99, per one way flight.
• £25.00 / €31,00, per one way flight, if paid at airport

• Other sports equipment
• Bicycles, Skis, Snowboards, Carpet Bowls, Scuba Diving Equipment, Surf, Kite Surf & Body Boards
• Pre-book and pay £19.99 / €24,99, per one way flight.
• £25.00 / €31,00, per one way flight, if paid at airport

• Hang Gliders, Windsurf Boards, Canoes & Kayaks
• £35 / €44,00 each, per one way flight
• Pay at airport only.
