Resorts to suit your holiday style

There are several resorts to choose from on Rhodes, from laidback Haraki and picturesque Afandou to the watersports haven of Ixia or the legendary party town of Faliraki - it’s easy to find a resort that suits your holiday style. Rhodes Town itself is best known for its pretty Old Town area, the oldest inhabited medieval town in Europe and a haven of traditional cobbled streets, bars, cafes and restaurants that is best explored on foot. You’ll stumble upon several beautiful churches and mosques along the way and The Street of Knights is a history enthusiasts dream. The thermal baths at Kallithea are also well worth a visit.

Best beaches

The ancient village of Lindos offers one of the more lively beaches on the island. Here you’ll find plenty of sunbeds and tavernas and plenty of bars catering to visitors with late night opening hours. The beach itself is a sandy bay that leads out to beautiful emerald blue waters. Sandy Pefki beach is just south of Lindos and is much smaller but known locally for its natural beauty. Lardos beach is perfect for families while Plimiri is best for those looking to get away from it all for a while.
