Along with many of the Greek Islands, the best way to appreciate the great variety of Greek specialities is by ordering a meze which will consist of small local plates of dips as well as local fish and meat dishes for the whole family to enjoy. Taverna and restaurants offer a wide varierty of local and international cuisine.

There is a good selection of bars and night-life in most resorts, but resorts on the island are generally more low-key than some of the larger Greek Islands.
