Set around a delightful, pine-backed bay of sheltered waters, its calm atmosphere is ideal for enjoying sun-soaked, indulgent days. Stretch out on the pebbly-sands, make refreshing forays into the shallows, try some waterskiing or windsurfing, catch an island cruise or take a boat or bus to nearby beaches, including the inviting cove at Sklithri. Several welcoming tavernas line the waterfront and the village, a short walk away, offers little shops and bars. At night, peaceful dinners at the waterfront tavernas are the norm, but for more action, there's always Skiathos Town, with its sophisticated bars and high-octane nightclubs.
