Lake Como: Introduction
The third largest lake in Italy, after Lake Garda and Lake Maggiore, it is also one of the deepest. It has long been associated with the rich and wealthy and is considered to be the most beautiful lake in Italy. Lake Como is also well known for the stunning palatial like villas that sit at the edge of the water, many with wonderful sub-tropical gardens. There is also a great ferry boat service that operates on the lake, enabling visitors to stop off at one of the many little towns and villages dotted around the waters edge.
