It would seem that not everyone is dreaming of a white Christmas this year as leading leisure airline Monarch gets set to fly 200,000 customers to warmer climes in Europe for the festive holidays, a 20% increase on the same period last year.

Between Friday 17 December 10 and Sunday 09 January 11, Monarch will operate almost 1,200 scheduled flights to some of Europe’s key hotspots as chilly Brits look to escape the UK freeze. This Christmas and New Year the most popular destinations are the Canary Island of Tenerife, Alicante on Spain’s Costa Blanca and Malaga on the Costa del Sol where temperatures of up to 22 degrees can be expected – up to 20 degrees warmer than the UK can expect!
