2010 News - Flights - Monarch passenger numbers soar by over 20% in November 2010
01 12 2010
Leading leisure airline Monarch saw passenger numbers continue to soar in November with almost 226,000 holiday makers escaping to sunshine hotspots across Spain, Portugal, Gibraltar and Cyprus – a 20.5% increase on the same month last year and the highest number of passengers ever carried in the month of November. The airline also recorded its highest ever November load factor of 87.55%.
The soaring passenger numbers were assisted with Monarch’s new twice-weekly winter flights from Gatwick and Manchester to the Balearic Island of Majorca and flights from Luton to Alicante, which have rejoined the winter schedule and offer three new flights a week.
