Passenger numbers in September continued to soar yet again for Monarch as holiday makers escaped the grey British weather in their droves. During the month, the airline carried over 464,500 scheduled passengers – it’s highest ever number for September - and recorded a record breaking September load factor of 93.35%.
The top performing routes in the month were the Spanish mainland hotspots of Almeria and Malaga, which recorded load factors of 96.02% and 95.35% respectively, plus the capital of the Balearic Islands, Palma, with a load factor of 95.31%
Monarch’s passenger statistics for scheduled services during September 2010:

1. Represents the number of passengers as a proportion of the number of seats available for passengers.
2. Represents the number of earned seats flown by Monarch. Earned seats include seats that are flown whether or not the passenger turns up because once a flight has departed a no-show customer is not entitled to change flights or seek a refund.
