2012 News - Flights - MONARCH AIRLINES CELEBRATES SUPER SUCCESSFUL JANUARY

Monarch, the leading scheduled leisure airline is celebrating a record breaking start to 2012, with online sales revenue up by 46% year-on-year.

Since the start of the airlines’ January Super Flight sale, which started on Boxing Day; traffic through the www.monarch.co.uk website has experienced a 25% boost in visitors; with a 30% increase in online bookings year-on-year.
 
Adding a few more ‘jewels to their crown’, the airline launching a total of 14 new routes to their scheduled network of flights for summer 2012. The new routes include the beautiful Italian cities of Milan, Rome, Verona and Venice as well as the cosmopolitan Croatian city of Dubrovnik and the largest of the Greek Islands, Crete. 

The months’ top three destinations for bookings were Dalaman in Turkey, Sharm el Sheikh in Egypt and new route Rome in Italy.

Kevin George, Managing Director at Monarch Airlines comments: “We are delighted to have experienced such a positive start to 2012; we are still seeing these figures continue to grow and expect much bigger days to come. It is clear as our sales continue to grow that customers value our transparent fees, preferring to eliminate the element of surprise with additional ‘hidden charges’, such as unnecessary card payment fees. We will also be launching a new 2012 Super Sale Lucky Dip promotion from 13th until 31st January where customers can get a £5, £10 or £15 discount off return flights in 2012 when they enter their email address with us.”
