2012 News - Flights - Monarch Airlines celebrates inaugural flights to Madeira

Leading scheduled leisure airline, Monarch, celebrated its inaugural flights from London Gatwick and Birmingham to the winter sun destination of Madeira on 15 October.
Expanding on its already extensive network of scheduled destinations the new routes to Madeira offers customers the opportunity for winter sun with flights operating from Gatwick three times a week and from Birmingham twice a week.


Kevin George, Managing Director of Monarch Airlines said, “The launch of these new routes for winter 2012/13 is a great opportunity for those who wish to escape the UK’s cold winters. The Portuguese island of Madeira is one of the best European destinations for winter sun and we are confident our product offering will be perfectly placed for this new destination.”

London Gatwick to Funchal (Madeira)

Funchal (Madeira)   - 1 x flight per week – from 15 October 2012
- 3 x flights per week – from 29 October 2012

Birmingham to Funchal (Madeira)
Funchal (Madeira)   - 1 x flight per week – from 15 October 2012
- 2 x flights per week – from 29 October 2012
