Leading scheduled leisure airline, Monarch, again recorded exceptionally strong passenger numbers in October 2012, with more than 604,000 customers travelling to destinations across Europe and the Mediterranean.
Monarch’s passenger numbers increased by 29% in October 2012 compared to the same month a year ago, despite the half term holiday period falling into November this year, compared to October in 2011. Capacity increased by 27% and load factor improved by 1% point compared to October 2011.

(1) Represents the number of earned seats flown by Monarch. Earned seats include seats that are flown whether or not the passenger turns up because once a flight has departed a no-show customer is not entitled to change flights or seek a refund.
