Monarch Airlines Announces Schedule for Summer Next Year from Manchester Airport
(Luton, UK –24, July 2014) - Monarch, the leading scheduled airline to leisure destinations today announces the launch of its schedule for Summer 2015 from Manchester airport.
Changes to the schedule for Summer 2015 from Manchester airport feature:
- 24 routes with increased frequencies on some of Monarch’s most popular destinations such as Venice or Verona
- Better weekend flight times for short city breaks to destinations such as Gibraltar, Venice and Barcelona
- New departure days to some of the airline’s routes to allow for a more flexible approach to booking five, seven or ten day holidays. Destinations include Agadir, Mahon and Verona
Andrew Swaffield, Managing Director of the airline said: “Since I joined Monarch Airlines in April this year we have been listening to our customers and put a lot of thought into refining our schedule for Summer 2015. I am therefore delighted to be announcing a schedule that we believe will be very attractive to our customers. In particular, for our most popular destinations, we have made our flights more frequent and are offering flight times that are more convenient.
“We also believe that the changes that we have made will attract new customers to Monarch, to experience the warmth and personal touch that we are bringing back to the European airline industry.”
The Summer 2015 schedule will be geared towards short-haul, pan-European destinations with more frequency and sociable flight times.
Last week the airline announced its progress with the anticipated fleet renewal project by announcing Boeing as its preferred bidder. The airline is currently working towards agreeing terms which would see thirty new Boeing 737 MAX8’s joining the Monarch fleet from April 2018, with options to add up to an additional fifteen aircraft to the order.
