We would like to thank Servisair for their past assistance in ground handling services at these airports and welcome Menzies Aviation to the Monarch team.”
Servisair will continue to provide ground handling services for Monarch at Leeds Bradford and East Midlands Airports and its parent company, Swissport, will continue to provide Monarch’s ground handling services at London Gatwick and Manchester Airports.
Russell Doane, Commercial Director UK & Ireland, Menzies Aviation said: “Menzies Aviation is delighted to have secured a long term contract to handle Monarch at both Luton and Birmingham Airports, which represents a new exciting business relationship for both parties and an opportunity to build a strong partnership in delivering a service that is safe, secure and customer focused.”
Michael Whitfield, Head of Procurement said: “This move is part of our process of continuous improvement in the airline. Ground handling has an important impact on our customers’ experience and we are mindful that high service levels need to come as standard across Monarch - and this includes any interactions our customers may have with third party suppliers.”
