After nearly 12 years as Monarch Airlines’ managing director, Danny Bernstein has announced his intention to relinquish his current position, and take on the non-executive role of chairman of the company.

After nearly 12 years as Monarch Airlines’ managing director, Danny Bernstein has announced his intention to relinquish his current position, and take on the non-executive role of chairman of the company.

Danny will be succeeded by Peter Brown, currently Monarch’s group finance director. The changes will take effect on 1st July 2002 when Danny reaches 60 years of age.

Peter joined the Board of sister companies Avro and Cosmos as a Director in July 2000 and in May 2001, he joined the Boards of Monarch Airlines Limited and Monarch Aircraft Engineering Limited.

Peter has many years experience in the travel and aviation industries, having held the position of group finance director of Unijet and Leisure International Airlines until they were sold to First Choice plc, where he remained in various executive roles until he joined Avro and Cosmos.
