Leading UK leisure carrier Monarch Airlines has appointed Dave Summers to the newly created position of director of customer services.

Dave joined Monarch Airlines in 1999, and has over 31 years in aviation, having previously worked with Blue Sky Holidays, Jetsave and British Caledonian Airways, before joining Gatwick Handling in 1979 as passenger services manager. He was subsequently promoted to general manager before joining Monarch Airlines as head of airport services.

Dave has responsibility for pre and post-flight customer services as well as managing the airline’s ground services contracting and service provision for all airports that Monarch operates to worldwide.
