Alistair Moffat has been appointed to the position of chief financial officer - Monarch, with responsibility for finance at Monarch Aircraft Engineering Ltd (MAEL) added to the remit he already held as finance director of Monarch Airlines. The move comes following the announcement that Adrian Jones, current finance director at Monarch Aircraft Engineering, is due to retire in July 2006.
Between July and October 2005, Adrian will remain responsible for the financial affairs of MAEL, whilst Alistair becomes familiar with the operation. Full responsibility will become Alistair’s on 1 October 2005, with Adrian remaining in place for assistance as required.

We look forward to welcoming Alistair to the Board of MAEL and will work hard to ensure a seamless transition in this extremely important area of the business.”
Alistair joined Monarch in 2001.
