Monarch Airlines can confirm that it has been selected by the CAA to assist with the repatriation of passengers affected by the collapse of the XL Leisure Group. The airline is aiding the CAA to source aircraft capacity as well as providing operational support and will carry more than 40,000 of the XL customers who have had their travel plans disrupted.

Customers affected should check with the ATOL website, www.atol.org.uk in the first instance, and those outside the UK in particular distress should call the CAA's helpline on +44 (0) 2891 856 547. The helpline for customers in the UK is 0870 5900927.
