31 03 2004
Low cost airline Monarch Scheduled, which operates a programme of flights to Spain, Portugal and Gibraltar, is recording an impressive punctuality record from Manchester with 92 per cent of its flights in February leaving within 15 minutes of their planned departure time (according to figures published by Manchester Airport plc). This makes Monarch Scheduled the most punctual British low cost airline operating from Manchester in February.
Jonathan Crick, Monarch Scheduled commercial director commented: “Punctuality is obviously important to our passengers and these results are very encouraging. However, there is always room for improvement and we will continue to strive to maintain or better our performance.”
As its continues to grow, Monarch Scheduled also reports it is warming up for a busy summer season at Manchester with bookings up by nearly two thirds. It is operating three new routes compared with last summer following its successful launch of flights to Barcelona, Gibraltar and Tenerife in November 2003.
Jonathan commented; “These three new routes have proved to be a big success, particularly considering that they were launched during the quieter winter season. We are delighted that they have been so well received in Manchester and the indications are that they will sell even better this summer.”Previous Page
