- Winter flights increase from Manchester -
Low cost airline Monarch has confirmed that it will be adding four extra flights per week to Alicante from Manchester in response to increased demand, boosting its frequency to eleven flights per week to the popular Spanish destination over the Winter 06/07 period.
The additional flights will operate on Monday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday and will add almost 21,000 seats to the route, bringing the total number available for the winter season to over 84,000.
Tim Jeans, managing director of Monarch's scheduled division, said: “Alicante is one of our most popular routes, with over 80,000 people already booked to travel this summer. More people choose to fly from Manchester to Alicante with Monarch than any other airline, and now our service offers even greater choice and more low fares.”
As well as low fares, which include complimentary daily newspapers and a refreshing hot towel service, Monarch offer a unique range of tasty hot and cold meals available with prices from £3.00. Seats can be pre-booked at £5 per one-way flight to avoid the last minute free-for-all, or you might prefer to try one of the 48 extra-legroom seats which offer up to six inches of extra space for just £15 each way. Regular travellers are rewarded too, with a range of benefits through the airline’s loyalty scheme, Vantage Club.
