Low cost airline, Monarch Scheduled, has launched its winter 2005/06 timetable. Increasing capacity by 41% compared to last winter, the new schedule sees increased frequencies on the most popular routes from Luton as well as even more flights from the carrier’s brand new base at Birmingham International Airport. Highlights include:

Even more flights from London Luton:

  • Due to popular demand for winter sun, Monarch Scheduled will offer almost twice as many flights to Tenerife, increasing its offering from four per week to daily flights, from just £50 one way (£100 return) including tax

  • Services to Faro will increase from two per week to five per week, from just £40 one way (£85 return) including tax

  • An extra flight each week to Gibraltar, increasing services from five to six per week, from just £40 one way (£80 return) including tax

  • Increased services from the brand new base at Birmingham:

  • Flights to Alicante will increase from three per week to six per week until 17 December, then five per week thereafter, from just £45 one way (£90 return) including tax

  • Daily flights from just £45 one way (£90 return) including tax to Malaga continue, as do daily flights to Tenerife from just £70 one way (£140 return)

  • New winter routes from Manchester:

  • Four flights per week to Almeria, from just £50 one way (£100 return) including tax

  • Three flights per week will operate to Naples, from just £50 one way (£100 return) including tax
  • Daily flights to Madrid, from just £50 one way (£100 return) including tax
  • New winter routes from London Gatwick:

  • Daily flights to Granada and Lisbon, from just £40 one way (£80 return) including tax

  • Monarch Scheduled operates flights to Italy, Spain, Gibraltar and Portugal from Birmingham, London Gatwick, London Luton and Manchester. Fares include complimentary daily newspapers and a refreshing hot towel service; also available is a unique range of tasty hot and cold meals with prices from £2.50. Seats can be pre-booked at £5 per one-way flight to avoid the last minute free-for-all and regular travellers are rewarded too, with a range of benefits through the airline’s loyalty scheme Vantage Club.
