03 01 2006
Monarch Airlines has been advised by officials at ANA owned airports in Portugal of potential strike action by Fire Crews on Friday 06 January 2006.
The strike action, which will affect a number of Portuguese airports including Faro, will take place between 00.01 and 23.59 on 06 January, during which time the airports will be forced to close.
Monarch is monitoring the situation closely and contingency plans are being drawn up to ensure that minimal disruption is caused to passengers if strike action does take place. Details of revised flying schedules to and from Faro on Friday 06 January will be published on the website on the afternoon of Tuesday 05 January, once details of the strike have been received.
Until final confirmation is received regarding strike action, Monarch services from Faro Airport will continue to operate as normal.Previous Page
