2008 News Archive - Flights - Record Easter period for Monarch Scheduled
24 03 2005
Low cost airline Monarch Scheduled, is looking forward to flying a record number of passengers looking for sunnier climes over the Easter period this year. Over 100,000 people will jet off during the Easter week, with sales for the period up by over 22% on the same period last year.
This news follows the announcement last month that Monarch Scheduled added more than 6000 seats to its Easter schedule. To cope with the extra demand for seats, the airline is operating 370-seat A330s on the busiest routes with even more seats for sale to Malaga, Alicante, Barcelona, Palma, Tenerife and Faro.
Most passengers will be unwrapping their eggs on a Spanish costa, with the most popular destinations for “Semana Santa” being Alicante and Malaga.
Those not jetting off to sunnier climes this weekend can log on to www.flymonarch.com and take advantage of Monarch Scheduled’s Easter Egg-stravaganza – 50,000 seats are available from £50 one way, including all taxes. Bookings must be made between 24 and 29 March for travel during April, May and June, subject to availability. Routes included in this promotion are:
