24 11 2004
Monarch Scheduled has just recorded its busiest weekend ever with over 114,000 bookings taken during a four-day promotion that saw it offering its lowest prices ever. Despite increased competition, Monarch Scheduled has increased sales by 27% this winter.
Monarch Scheduled also recently announced it enjoyed a record summer with over a million bookings made, representing a year-on-year increase in traffic of 33%.
Tim Jeans, managing director of Monarch Scheduled said; ”Monarch Scheduled offers a superior product but is not afraid to face its competition head on in terms of pricing. We have grown rapidly in the last couple of years, and we intend to continue to aggressively market ourselves to further strengthen our position as the market-leader on leisure routes from the UK.“
Monarch Scheduled operates flights to Spain, Gibraltar and Portugal from Manchester, London Gatwick and London Luton. Prices start from just £37 for a return flight including taxes. Fares include complimentary daily newspapers and in-flight entertainment and a refreshing hot towel service. Seats can be pre-booked to avoid the last minute free-for-all. Regular travellers are rewarded too, with a range of benefits through the airline’s loyalty scheme Vantage Club.
