Commenting on the Summer 2007 Gatwick schedule, managing director of Monarch’s scheduled services, Tim Jeans, said, “We are delighted to be adding services to Ibiza to our Gatwick network which means the island will be served from all 4 of Monarch’s UK bases for Summer 2007, with a total of 20 flights per week.
“The increased frequencies on our routes to mainland Spain, particularly Granada - which was until recently a relatively undiscovered area of Andalucia but is growing rapidly in popularity, is fantastic news for passengers and provides an increased number of low fares flights, greater flexibility and Monarch’s trademark service, which our passengers love. They’re fed up with the cattle-truck conditions and catering from the British Rail era, found on many ‘no frills’ airlines. They want to be treated like paying customers and that’s what Monarch delivers on every flight”.
