2008 News Archive - Holidays - Beer and wine flow in Malta

11 07 2007

Malta will host two annual drinking festivals this summer.

The Farsons Great Beer Festival is a family event that offers a wide selection of ales and speciality brews along with food and music.

Ta'Qali Park is the venue for the festival and holidaymakers are encouraged to soak up the summer sun and leave their children to be entertained in supervised play areas.

Musicians and singers will perform on the main stage - for popular music - and the rock stage, which is a platform for alternative bands.

For those looking for the perfect accompaniment to Mediterranean cuisine, Malta is also the centre of the Delicata Classic Wine Festival in August. Commencing with a regatta that is overseen by the president of Malta, combined with food stalls and live entertainment, hours of leisure time and relaxation are bound to ensue.

Held between the 9th and 12th of the month in Valetta's Upper Barrakka Gardens, the festival will then move to Gozo on the 31st.
