Holidaymakers looking to travel to Spain, the United States and other destinations around the world in the summer should arrange to book the trip in December, it has been reported.
The advice comes from Marianne West, consumer PR executive for easyJet, who notes that December is the time of year when the cheapest summer holiday deals can be found.
Ms Wests comments coincide with what has been dubbed "Holiday Day". According to Travel Mole, January 7th is the most popular day of the year on which to book a summer holiday.
"The first two to three weeks in December [are] the cheapest time to book for your summer holiday," she observed.
She added: "Realistically that is when to think about it because it's so much cheaper. Book early and grab the cheaper seats - that's our recommendation."
The Association of British Travel Agents recently reported that a record 3,000 Brits were planning on taking winter holidays over the Christmas period just gone.
