A new poll has revealed the items that Brits cannot bear to holiday without.
Research carried out by Holiday Extras revealed that cameras are the number one holiday 'must have', with more than 40 per cent of people claiming it would ruin their holiday if they left their camera at home.
Other items that holidaymakers dread forgetting include their mobile phones and swimming costumes, with 13 per cent of people saying it would be a disaster to forget their bikini.
Meanwhile, 13 per cent of people claimed that sunglasses were their most important holiday item.
Commenting on the findings, Mike Whiting, managing editor for Holiday Extras, said: "Our cameras are important to record our treasured holiday moments.
However, while I tend not to take my mobile away with me, more people these days seem to want to stay in touch even when they are getting away from it all."
In other news, a recent study by Abbey Savings revealed that Brits spend around ten per cent of their income on holidays.
