16 03 2007
Tourists visiting Malta in June will have the added treat of being able to attend a concert by the famous tenor Jose Carreras.
The island is already in a state of excitement, looking forward to the visit of Carreras, who will play on June 8th at St George’s Square (Main Guard) in Valletta.
His visit will be part of his much-anticipated Mediterranean Passion Tour.
As part of the wildly popular Three Tenors, Carreras has sung with legends Luciano Pavarotti and Placido Domingo.
One could hardly ask for a more ideal setting than the beautiful island of Malta for this talented artist.
Located south of Sicily, Malta boasts an eminently Mediterranean climate, with long dry summers and short, cool winters.
Recently the publishing group International Living voted Malta as having the best climate in the world.
With gentle low hills and beautiful terraced fields and small rivers with fresh water all year round, its no wonder Carreras has chosen Malta.
