2008 News Archive - Holidays - Couples favour Paris

12 02 2008

A new survey has revealed that Paris is still the global capital when it comes to love for Britons.

Teletext Holidays reports that Paris was listed in the top ten top romantic hotspots, at number three.

Other locations also named in the survey included Barcelona, Florence, Prague, Madrid, Venice, Stockholm, Berlin, Rome and New York.

While 14 per cent of Brits named the Big Apple as their favourite spot for amour, 33 per cent cited Paris as their preferred destination.

"The key to a successful romantic trip is preparation - spend time online researching your trip before you go away and speak to friends and colleagues about their experiences to ensure that you make the best of your destination," commented Matt Cheevers, managing director of Teletext Holidays.

However, not all couples travelling to gay Paris can expect to share starry-eyed glances as the company also reported that Paris was the number one holiday argument hotspot with 34 per cent of Brits claiming to have fallen out while visiting the capital.
