The famous Dakar rally is a motorcycling equivalent of the Paris to Dakar car rally which, apart from the number of wheels, is also distinct because it begins in Lisbon.
Visitors to Morocco will be able to enjoy seeing the riders in action in one of the most gruelling legs of the trip, as the riders take on the heat and sand of the north African country.
The route through Morocco passes through the cities of Tanger, Er Rachidia, Rabat, Ouarzazate, Agdir and Tan-Tan, the race website states, offering those visiting these areas a chance to watch the riders in action.
In addition to the men and motors entertainment, camels and culture are on offer to travellers visiting this fascinating land, with plenty of Bazaars offering the chance to pick up interesting souvenirs in addition to the whole experience.
The rally runs from January 5th to 20th.
