12 09 2007
Fans of live musical performances may want to jet off to the capital of Portugal next month to be lucky enough to enjoy the melodic sounds of David Sylvian as he performs all his hits.
The singer-songwriter will be wooing crowds in Lisbon on October 21st at Belem Cultural Centre, which could provide a perfect excuse to take a holiday in the country and enjoy the entertainment such a break could offer.
Once famed for his work in the group Japan, Sylvian left the band to forge a successful solo career.
Jon Hassell, Robert Fripp and Ryuichi Sakamoto are just some of the producers he has worked with since he began his solo work in 1982.
If Lisbon isn't enticing enough, Sylvian is to play in the historical city of Rome this month before heading off to different destinations around Europe, namely Prague and Zagreb.
Visitors to Portugal in October, may also be lured into watching home team Benfica play Shakhtar Donetsk as part of the Champions League rounds.
