Dubai's position as a popular Persian Gulf holiday destination has raised the profile of neighbouring Gulf Coast countries as places for potential external investment, it has been reported.
According to Chintan Mahida, an overseas property expert at Nubricks.com, Dubai has helped to highlight the potential of itself and the region as a whole including United Arab Emirates capital Abu Dhabi.
Investors are attracted to the region as they can see its potential as a tourist destination.
Ms Mahida added that the "viability" of such property markets increases because of the fact that the region has more to offer than simply year-round tourism.
"Dubai's continued large scale investment into modern visitor attractions is driving not only increased tourism but interest from investors who can see the future potential Dubai holds as an international tourism visitor hotspot," she noted.
The United Arab Emirates of Ras Al Kaimah and Sharjah are also benefiting from Dubai's popularity as a tourism "hotspot".
