Dance enthusiasts planning a trip to Cyprus in May this year may want to stop off at the European Dance Festival which is being held in the country that month.
The annual event is one of the highlights of the arts and culture scene, according to the Whatsonwhen website.
Dancers and organisations from 16 countries are due to take part in the festival which includes a variety of workshops and performances relating to contemporary dance.
The event is being organised by the Ministry of Education and Culture along with the Rialto Theatre, the British Counvil, the Goethe Zentrum, the French Cultural Centre and with the cooperation of the embassied of Austria, Greece, Italy, Sweden Poland, Switzerland and the Netherlands.
Other festivals taking place in the country include Carnival in Cyrpus which begins on the Thursday of the Meat Week.
Highlights of that event include the Children's Carnival Parade.
