Tourists with a refined palette for delectable alcoholic beverages may be intrigued to know about the Palmela Wine Festival due to behappening next month.
The events take place in the town of Palmela in the country, which is ten kilometres north of Setubal, Whatsonwhen notes.
Held at the beginning of September, tourists will be able to sample the harvested grapes of the region under the gaze of the historic skyline which boasts an 11th century Arabian castle that has been restored into a hotel.
If one event is not enough to entertain visitors to the country in September, the Avante Festival may go someway to creating a memorable holiday experience.
Promising a range of musical genres and dancing for all - including jazz, Latin and pop - this festival is organised by the Portuguese Communist Party newspaper, Whatsonwhen reports.
A free occasion, the event is held between September 7th and 9th.
