The summer is barely over, but already holidaymakers are being urged to book their next break as soon as possible, in order to avail of the cheapest deals.
With the number of package holidays on the market expected to drop next year, consumers have been advised to snap up cheap deals and flights as far in advance as possible.
Those who book early can also expect added extras such as free child places, low deposit schemes and a wider choice of packages, the Telegraph reported.
As well as booking in advance, holidaymakers are also advised to sign up to newsletters with airlines and travel providers, in order to find out about special offers and new season flights.
Other tips include travelling outside the eurozone to destinations such as Turkey and booking one long holiday, as opposed to several short breaks.
In related news, a recent study by Alpharooms.com revealed that eight in ten people would rather cut back on everyday luxuries than sacrifice their annual holiday.
