The island of Cyprus continues to attract large numbers of tourists, according to a local tourist association.
Love Cyprus is part of the Association of National Tourist Office Representatives and is keen to stress that the country has become one of the world's most popular destination for holidays.
Marios Christodoulou, a spokesperson for Love Cyprus, explained: "Cyprus has always had a good reputation and as time has gone on, the country had developed into one of the most popular tourism destinations in the world."
He added that the island has undergone significant modernisation and now appeals to large numbers of travellers because of the "array of services and amenities" that Cyprus offers.
Cyprus already has a total of 52 blue flag beaches and its range of accommodation is increasing rapidly, making it ideal for tourists looking for holidays that offer high-quality sun, sea and sand as well as a friendly atmosphere.
