Luxury flights are most likely to be taken by honeymooners jetting off abroad, according to one commentator.
Anna Knowles of Virgin Atlantic noted that honeymoons are the "most popular" type of occasion for which passengers like to treat themselves to luxury air travel.
She added that travellers also like to upgrade their flights for milestone birthdays, wedding anniversaries and when visiting relatives and loved ones over the Christmas holiday period.
"Our upper class cabin on our new Mauritius route is filled with honeymooners who are willing to splash out on the luxury experience to mark their special occasion," Ms Knowles commented.
A recent World Travel Market debate saw airlines predict that the number of economy seats available on aircraft will be reduced slowly in the future, Travelmole reports.
