Brits looking to take the traumas out of holidays have been issued with a few tips from one commentator.
According to Days Inn, preparation is the key to avoiding stress on family holidays to Zante, China or even the Dominican Republic.
From weekend breaks to week-long holidays, organisation is crucial, it is claimed, and it is important to make hotel bookings far in advance.
"If you're looking to keep the kids entertained, make it easy on yourself and select a hotel that is close to local events and attractions," the Canadian company advised.
Other tips included timing holidays so as not to coincide with peak summer periods or school holidays where possible. Packing light is also recommended.
This year, the Easter holidays fall over a three-week period, the Association of British Travel Agents noted, with the final week of holidays beginning this Monday (April 7th 2008).
