Tickets for the Istanbul Music Festival have gone on sale, giving music fans the chance to see and hear some of the best classical musicians in the world play.
Celebrating its 35th anniversary, the cultural landmark festival will feature a mix of western classical numbers and Turkish pieces, with performances expected from the likes of the BBC Symphony Orchestra, Julian Lloyd Webber and the Morzarteum Orchestra of Salzburg.
Additionally, Turkey's own Presidential Symphony Orchestra will be on display, as well as the Tekfen Philharmonic Orchestra - famed for its varied repertoire.
Music fans may also like to know that the festival is regarded by many in the music community for being cutting edge, with new interpretations of old works often performed in front of historic backdrops like the beautiful Topkapi Palace.
Running between June 2nd and 30th 2007, festival-goers will have also have ample opportunity to discover the sights and scenes of Istanbul, which has everything from bustling shopping centres to relaxed and sophisticated cafes.
