2008 News Archive - Holidays - Jazz it up

01 11 2007

Visitors to Barcelona will not just be able to enjoy some warmth in the Iberian climate between now and December, but also get stuck into some serious culture.

This culture, however, is not just about the day-to-day attractions of Las Ramblas, the beautiful modernista buildings designed by Gaudi, football or even the Catalan language - though all these are there in a bundance and should be enjoyed by visitors - for the Barcelona International Jazz Festival, which is already underway, continues until December 1st.

Held at the Palau de la Musica, the festival includes acts such as Paolo Conte, the Vienna Art Orchestra, Cinejazz In-Edit and the Charlie Haden Quartet West, according to the festival website.

Lovers of this form of music can thus enjoy a wide variety of jazz from an international line-up.

All this will simply add to the lustre of a visit to one of Europe's most lively and interesting cities.
