Fans of Sir Elton John will have the chance to see the man himself in concert in Johannesburg on January 18th 2008.

The famous pop star and his band will be performing at the Coca-Cola Dome in the city, the third of three concerts he will be undertaking in South Africa.

Prior to his visit to the veldt will be performances at Newlands Cricket Ground in Cape Town on January 13th and the ABSA stadium in Durban on January 16th.

In addition to the concert, Johannesburg offers a wide range of interesting attractions.

The modern city with its many skyscrapers is best viewed from the Roof of Africa experience at the top of the Carlton Tower, the tallest building in Africa, while Gold Reef City offers an insight into the mining history which saw the area turn from farmland to a major city in just a few decades from the late 19th century.
