Hollywood Beach in Florida will be the place to practice your sultry salsa steps and rumba rhythms on August 16th as the 14th annual Latin festival turns up the heat.
Artists spicing up the music and entertainment at the event in 2006 included Latino favourites DJ "O" Oscar, Orquesta Brava, Pedro Jesus and Lefty Perez.
If the dancing becomes too hot to handle, a stroll up Hollywood Broadwalk will offer food stalls, community group presentations and arts and crafts made by beachfront merchants.
Holidaymakers should be prepared to get there early however, as the event draws 50,000 people ready to exhibit their tango talents.
While indulging in the festivities, Latin lovers are also helping the local area as the Hollywood Beach Latin festival is a non-profit fiesta aimed at promoting Hispanic culture in the region. The money the festival raises goes to students requiring scholarships for a local community college.
For those lucky sun-seekers in Florida next month, the Bass Museum of Art in Miami is celebrating the life of Cuban-born musician Celia Cruz in a special exhibition, Whatsonwhen notes.
