2008 News Archive - Holidays - Majorca fundraiser welcomes soap stars

12 05 2008

A trio of stars from TV were on hand to make a charity fundraiser go with a bang in Majorca last week.

Sue Cleaver, Charlie Condou and Duncan Pow all attended the event to help raise money for Great Ormond Street Hospital, according to the Press Association.

The celebrities - who play Eileen Grimshaw and Marcus Dent in Coronation Street and Linden Cullen in Holby City respectively - were involved in an auction that raised £175,000 for the sick children at the hospital.

All of the action took place at Pirates Adventure, before they and other guests moved on to a bar owned by EastEnders actor Steve McFadden.

Visitors to Majorca looking for a night's food and entertainment might be interested in Pirates Adventure.

While eating, guests are entertained by an acrobatic performance which retells the tale of Sir Henry Morgan and his band of brave buccaneers.
