2008 News Archive - Holidays - Malta Air show

23 07 2007

Aircraft performing head-spinning stunts and death-defying displays will be visible over Maltese skies this September, promising an entertaining day for all the family.

The 2007 Malta International Air show will take place this year at Luqa Airfield on September 22nd to 23rd, showcasing military and civil aircraft from around the world.

Featuring F-16 fighter jets as one of the highlights, the programme of events sees a full afternoon of airplane acrobatics and military salutes, which is likely to keep any aviation enthusiast entertained.

Tens of thousands of visitors flock to the event each year and can purchase aviation memorabilia as a souvenir of the day as well as having the chance to talk to the pilots of the craft.

For those interested in more water-borne craft then the following month in Malta should also provide an exciting holiday, Whatsonwhen notes. The historic maritime town of Birgu holds its biennial festival in October, presenting a slice of Maltese history and folklore.
