If holidaymakers visiting Kenya in September can bear to drag themselves away from an afternoon of sunbathing and relaxation, they may be in for a treat.
Nairobi Race Course will be the destination to head to on September 30th when the Concours D'Elegance will provide a parade of vehicles for visitors to inspect and observe in entertaining displays.
Described as the biggest motoring event in east Africa by the organisers, car enthusiasts would be advised to check out the vehicle beauty contest.
As Schweppes will be sponsoring the occasion, the franchise director of the Coca Cola Company in east Africa Justin Melvin commented: "The Concours is a wonderful combination of a competitive motoring event, a social occasion and a fun outing."
The festivities have been running for 37 years this year and 2007 sees the organisers team up with Alfa Romeo to ensure a successful day for motoring-mad visitors.
Brits heading to the African nation this month will have the opportunity to be entertained by the Malaral Camel Derby in the north of the region, Whatsonwhen notes.
